LWC Volleyball advances to finals of 2016 MSC Tournament This is Lindsey Wilson's sixth consecutive appearance in the MSC Tournament Finals. Last season the Blue Raiders defeated Georgetown (KY) in three sets. NEXT: MSC CHAMPIONSHIP Lindsey Wilson Volleyball plays second-seeded Georgetown on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 2pmCT at South Warren High School, at South Warren High School, 8140 Nashville Road (campus), Bowling Green, KY By Anthony Latessa News from Lindsey Wilson College The top-seeded Lindsey Wilson volleyball team defeated fifth-seeded Life (GA) in three sets 25-15, 25-13 and 25-16 on Friday at the Mid-South Conference Tournament Semifinals at South Warren High School. The Blue Raiders (30-1) outhit the Eagles (20-12) .310 to .072 in the match. Makenzie Montano had a match-high 29 assists. Lauren Streets finished with 11 kills. Eileen Acuna and Carolynne Silva each had seven kills. Elly Burke had six kills, Grace Blomstedt and Montano each had four kills. Caitlyn Tino had a team-high 11 digs, one of four Blue Raiders with at least nine digs. The Blue Raiders outhit the Eagles .222 to .054 in the first set. Silva led the way with four kills. Streets had three kills, Montano and Burke had two kills each. Montano recorded nine assists in the set. Lindsey Wilson hit a match-high .389 in the second set. Montano finished with 12 assists in the set and Streets had six kills. Burke, Acuna and Blomstedt had three kills each in the set. The Blue Raiders outhit Life .321 to .000 in the third set as they only committed two errors in the set. Acuna and Silva had three kills each in the set as Lindsey Wilson closed out the match scoring five of the last six points.
