ACHS Class of 1971 45th Reunion at Red Barn a big success Class is already planning for 50th class reunion five years from now Click on headline for story with photo(s) and lists of those present By Debbie Peppers The Adair County High School Class of 1971 held the 45th reunion at the Red Barn on October 29, 2016. Classmates graduated from what is now the Middle School. There were 171 graduates listed in the graduation program. Nineteen have passed away since then, including Donna Bottoms, Debbie Bridgewater, Sharon Campbell, Delores Corbin, Phillip Jimmy Curry, Marilyn Edwards, Malcolm Frazier, Paul Barry Hayes, Mary Helen Jessie, Mildred Kelsay, Cavella Lyons, Steve Paul, Mike Pickett, Albert Redmon, Pam Rogers, Paul Smythe, Larry Tweedy, Annie Dean Wheat, and Randall Young. ACHS Class of 1971 members present at the Red Barn Event Center were Marsha Bragg Grant, Rita Baker Campbell, Betty Banks Brockman, Jane Taylor Walkup, Pat Cheatham Blair, Vicky Walker Smith, Vicky Goodin, Betty Shirley Knifley, Patricia Caldwell, Marilyn Coomer Brown, Phillip Coffey, Juanita Beard Young, Ken Taylor, Betty Burton, Jessee Neat, Patty Dixon Bunch, Maxie Hadley, Jackie Bryant, Steve Burris, Eddie McQuaide, Debbie Williams Peppers, David Sparks, Steve Campbell, Micah Harvey, Keith Young, George Pollard, Mike Phelps, Billy Pickett, Michael Matney, Steve Curry, Sammy Hughes, and Linda Finn Moss. Basketball players at Reunion - The basketball players from our class who were at the reunion: Keith Young, Steve Campbell, Micah Harvey, and Sammy Hughes. Three great ones! Band members at the reunion - Eddie McQuaide, Jessee Neat, David Sparks, Marsha Bragg Grant, Mike Phelps, Billy Pickett. Reunion Committee members were Mike Phelps, Debbie Williams Peppers, Pat Cheatham Blair, Rita Baker Campbell, Marsha Bragg Grant, and Betty Shirley Knifley. No formal program was held, and classmates socialized, shared stories, and enjoyed some refreshments. Classmates discussed plans for the 50th reunion, and where to have it.
