Kenny Carroll, 82, Taylor Co., KY (1934-2016)

He was the owner of Carroll's Plumbing and Heating and enjoyed serving the community for over 60 years in this capacity. In 1948 he made a profession of faith and joined Campbellsville Baptist Church where he faithfully served over the years in various roles. He was a Deacon, a member of the Lowell Harris Sunday School Class, and head of the Ushers and could be found each Sunday in the front lobby shaking hands and welcoming all those in attendance. Kenny was an avid Dodgers and UK fan and could be found enjoying a round of golf on a regular basis after starting his day with a cup of coffee with several of his buddies.

Louis Kenneth "Kenny" Carroll, age 82, of Campbellsville died Thursday, November 3rd in Louisville, KY following a brief illness.

Funeral Services for Kenny Carroll will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 12pmCT/1pmET, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, with Dr. Mike O'Neal and Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Green River Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Ben Nunery, Clark Howard, Don Shuffett, Pvt. Kyler Tucker, Sam Nunery, and Greg Carroll. Visitation will be 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmET, on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the funeral home.



Louis Kenneth "Kenny" Carroll, 82, Taylor Co., KY(1934-2016)


He was born in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY on February 11, 1934. He was the son of the late Harlan and Lora Newcomb Carroll. He died Thursday, November 3, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 82 years, seven months, and 23 days.

He was the owner of Carroll's Plumbing and Heating and enjoyed serving the community for over 60 years in this capacity. In 1948 he made a profession of faith and joined Campbellsville Baptist Church where he faithfully served over the years in various roles. He was a Deacon, a member of the Lowell Harris Sunday School Class, and head of the Ushers and could be found each Sunday in the front lobby shaking hands and welcoming all those in attendance. Kenny was an avid Dodgers and UK fan and could be found enjoying a round of golf on a regular basis after starting his day with a cup of coffee with several of his buddies.

On February 12, 1954 he united in marriage to Hilda Berry Carroll who survives.

He is additionally survived by:
  • Two children: A daughter, Debbie Nunery and her husband David of Campbellsville, KY, and one son Greg Carroll and his wife Kay of Louisville, KY

  • His grandchildren: Melissa Hayes, Kelli and Don Shuffett, Clark and Lindsey Howard all of Campbellsville, KY; Ben and Lesley Nunery of Fort Wright, KY and Sam Nunery of Indianapolis, IN

  • Eight great-grandchildren and one other to join the family soon as well

  • One brother-in-law and his wife: Ronnie and Laura Berry.
