Big Al: Cubs deliver perfect ending to a perfect season The first World Series title for the Cubs in 108 years bring the most amazing feelings a sports fan ever had, Big Al says. His only regret was wishing that his Dad could have been in San Diego for the moment Click on headline for complete story, photo(s) By Big Al Owens, Big League Trucker SAN DIEGO, CA (Thu 3 Nov 2016) I was in San Diego, California at the True North Tavern celebrating the Cubs World Series win with my friends from Spring Training and we laughed and joked all year about watching game 7 together and watching the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. After 108 years the Chicago Cubs are World Series Champions. I have been a fan for over 41 years and last night was the most amazing feeling for a sports fan ever. I have lived and died with this team. Many times of tears and sorrow but many moments of happiness too. This was a bond developed with my Dad when I was just a little boy. I lost my Dad a few years ago, and I wish that he could have been here for this moment A perfect ending to a perfect season. Go Cubs Go This story was posted on 2016-11-04 05:02:25
