Charlotte Buckman, Knifley, KY native (1954-2016)

She worked at Fruit of the Loom for 17 years as well as K-Mart and Cox Interior. She enjoyed reading the Bible and helping others. It was always a joy to her to hear her nieces and nephews call her Aunt Cha. Cha was of the Baptist Faith and attended Elk Horn Baptist Church.

Charlotte "Cha" Buckman, age 62, of Campbellsville, KY, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown after an illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 N Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Brian Rafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, 200 Block West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. The family requests visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.



Charlotte Buckman, Knifley, KY native (1954-2016)


Cha was born in Knifley, Adair County, KY, on September 29, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Hobert and Mary Edna Bottoms Allen. She died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 62 years, one month, and three days.

She married Danny Buckman who survives.

She worked at Fruit of the Loom for 17 years as well as K-Mart and Cox Interior. She enjoyed reading the Bible and helping others. It was always a joy to her to hear her nieces and nephews call her Aunt Cha. Cha was of the Baptist Faith and attended Elk Horn Baptist Church.

Besides her husband Danny, Cha is survived by:
  • A daughter: Danielle Buckman of Nashville, TN

  • Her brothers and sisters: Laura Taylor and her husband Joe, Johnny Allen and his wife, Tonia, all of Campbellsville, KY; Shirley Sallee of Lebanon, KY; Robert Allen and his wife Barbara of Somerset, KY; Barbara Brock and her husband Gilbert and Bill Allen and his wife Marsha all of Columbia, KY; and Peggy Fox and her husband Jeff of Elk Horn, KY

  • And several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
