She was a senior at the Casey County High School, a member of Future Business Leader of America, and actively involved with the Casey County Drama Club. Amber was a member of the Bethelridge United Methodist Church and was active in her Youth Group.

Amber Godbey passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was 17 years young.

Funeral services are 3pmCT/4pmET, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Casey County High School Gym, 1841 E State Hwy 70, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Don Clark and Bro. Gene Sweet officiating. Private burial will follow on Friday at Whited Cemetery. isitation is Thursday from 2:30-3pmCT/3:30-4pmCT, at the Casey County High School Gymnasium.



Pallbearers are Greg Brown, Harvey Wethington, Larry Rodgers, Kenneth Rodgers, Jordan Lynn, and Roger Haste. Honorary pallbearers are the 2017 Casey County High School Class.

Born January 20, 1999 in Boyle County, KY, she was the daughter of Scott Godbey and Amanda Rodgers Eads. She died Monday, October 31, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 17 years, nine months, and 11 days..

She was a senior at the Casey County High School, a member of Future Business Leader of America, and actively involved with the Casey County Drama Club. Amber was a member of the Bethelridge United Methodist Church and was active in her Youth Group.

Survivors include:
  • Her father: Scott Godbey of Bethelridge, KY

  • Mother: Amanda Rodgers (and Mitchell) Eads of Liberty, KY

  • Maternal grandmother: Virginia Rodgers of Liberty, KY

  • Paternal grandparents: Phillip and Darlene Godbey of Liberty, KY

  • Three brothers: Phil (and Lenna) Godbey of Hyden, KY; Austin Eads of Boone County, KY; and Brandon Eads of Lexington, KY

  • Three sisters: Becky (and Paul) Streeval of Liberty, KY; Ashely Eads of Liberty, KY; and Kelsie Godbey of Bethelridge, KY

  • And her "second mom"; Margaret Brown of Liberty, KY
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Luther Rodgers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Casey County Drama Club c/o Jerusha Sweeney, 75 College Street, Liberty, KY 42539.
