CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - (Sat 29 Nov 2016) No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson football scored 33 third-quarter points to sprint away from host Campbellsville (Ky.) in a 54-33 win today to reclaim the Highway 55 traveling trophy at Finley Stadium.

With today's win, Lindsey Wilson football and head coach Chris Oliver each recorded their 50th win. Oliver is now 50-27 in his seventh season as a head coach after starting the Lindsey Wilson program from scratch in 2010.

Leading 14-13 at halftime, Lindsey Wilson - like most games this season - dominated the second half scoring five touchdowns over a seven-minute span in the third quarter. The Blue Raiders (9-1, 3-1 in the Mid-South Conference West Division) have outscored their opponents 253-79 in the second half this season.

The Lindsey Wilson defense set the tone in the third quarter forcing the Tigers (1-7, 0-4) to punt after just three plays. It was the first three-and-out of the day for Campbellsville.

Lindsey Wilson turned the defensive stand into a 10-play, 69-yard drive and a 20-13 lead. Jayven Jones completed the drive with a nine-yard touchdown run -- his sixth rushing touchdown of the season.

Following another defensive stand and a Campbellsville punt, Lindsey Wilson needed just one play to extend the lead to 27-13. Beasley connected with Cedric Washington -- who made a terrific individual effort -- for a 60-yard touchdown.

Beasley -- who had a clean pocket most of the down -- had his arm hit on a pass attempt that produced a wobbly ball over the middle of the field. Washington out-jumped the defense to catch the pass and then broke two tackles on his way to his seventh touchdown of the season. Washington caught seven passes for a game-high 160 yards -- his second straight 100-yard game.

Following a Campbellsville score to cut the deficit to 26-19, Lindsey Wilson scored three straight times to extend the lead to 47-19.

Beasley started the spurt with a perfect pass over the middle to Blake Ingleton for 23-yard touchdown to push the lead back to two scores. Beasley connected on 32-of-40 passes for 413 yards and three touchdowns. He now has six 300-yard passing games this season and eight for his career.

During Campbellsville's next drive, D'Andre Hart recorded his first career interception to set up another Lindsey Wilson score. Hart stepped in front of DaRon Osborne to intercept Hunter Brown for the first takeaway of the day and the 16th of the season for the Blue Raiders.

Beasley -- who ran for two touchdowns in the game -- turned the Campbellsville turnover into a Blue Raider score with a one-yard run, capping a two-play, 19-yard drive.

Lindsey Wilson scored a third straight touchdown 14 seconds later to push the lead to 47-19.

Campbellsville fumbled the kickoff giving the Blue Raiders the ball on the Tiger 21-yard line. Beasley found a streaking Tyron Stallard on the next play up the sideline for the touchdown. Stallard caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Jalen Sublett scored the final touchdown of the game for the Blue Raiders with just over 12 minutes left to give Lindsey Wilson a 54-26 lead. The touchdown is the second of the day for Sublett, who extends his single-season record to 14 rushing touchdowns.

Campbellsville scored a meaningless touchdown with 10:12 left in the game to close the scoring at 54-33.

The Tigers opened the game's scoring after the Blue Raiders fumbled during the opening kickoff. It was the lone turnover of the day for Lindsey Wilson.

Sublett's first touchdown of the day tied the game at 7-7 only to have Bradley Bates hit the first of two field goals in the half for a 10-7 Campbellsville lead.

Beasley's quarterback keeper from the six-yard line put the Blue Raiders up 14-10 -- a lead they would not relinquish.

Another Bates field goal set the halftime score at 14-13.

Lindsey Wilson ended the game with 592 yards of total offense while averaging 7.3 yards per game.

Hunter Lovell caught a career-high eight passes for 87 yards. He also averaged 58 yards in his two punts during the game, including a season-best 64-yard punt.

Defensively, Airius Phillips led the Blue Raiders with 7-1/2 tackles while Avery Ford added seven tackles and two pass breakups.

Brown -- who entered the game leading the NAIA averaging 408.7 passing yards per game -- finished 38-of-62 for 359 yards with two touchdowns and the one interception. - Chris Wells
