COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team looks to remain undefeated in Mid-South Conference play when it travels to Pikeville (KY) on Thursday for a 3pCT/4pmET showdown.

The Blue Raiders (10-3, 5-0 MSC) defeated then-No.12-ranked Cumberland (TN), 2-1, on Tuesday to climb atop the MSC table. Scoring for Lindsey Wilson were Lyana Perez and Yvonne Ploeg.

Perez opened the scoring with a blast into an empty net after she beat her defender with skillful one-on-one play. The goal is the senior's 35th in a Blue Raider uniform and moved her into sole possession of 10th in the Lindsey Wilson all-time scoring ledger.

The Phoenix found the equalizer in the 57th minute - becoming the first team to score on the Blue Raiders since Olivet Nazarene (IL) on Sept. 16 and snapping a 639-minute shutout streak.

Ploeg again rose to the occasion, scoring the game winner in the 79th-minute off a through ball from Perez. The goal was the sophomore's 11th-career game winner.

Pikeville (7-10, 0-6 MSC) enters Thursday searching for its first MSC victory. The Bears last played on Tuesday - a 2-1 victory over Berea (KY). Macarena Acuna scored goals in each half to help end a four-match Pikeville skid.

Acuna leads all Bears with five goals this season and is tied with Tori Dillon for the second-most points on the team. Chelsie Randolph leads a quartet of goalkeepers with 37 saves in seven starts.

Lindsey Wilson is 13-0 all-time against Pikeville. The 13 victories are tied for the fourth-most wins against a single opponent by the team. Last season, the Blue Raiders picked up a pair of victories over the Bears - 13-0 in the regular season and 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the MSC Tournament.
