Public hearing on Adair Learning Center/Central Office Project

PUBLIC NOTICE: Very important meetings today 1) Public Hearing on important Education/Economic Development Project at Adair County High School, followed by 2) City Council Meeting to consider resolution for Community Development Block Grant to help fund the project. Widespread community support is vitally important to the success of the funding application. Mayor Hardwick and Adair County School Superintendent Alan Reed urge all citizens of Adair County to attend.

A Public Hearing to be held at 5pmCT, Tue 25 Oct 2016, at City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. to obtain citizen input for the Communityy Block Grant (CDBG) Application for the proposed Adair County Learning Center/Central Office Project.



The City will hold a public hearing prior to the submission of the CDBG application. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain views on housing and community development needs, review proposed activities, review the proposed appliction, and solicit public comments.

A Special Called Meeting of the Columbia City Council will follow shortly after at 6pmCT in the same location in City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, to consider approval of a resolution that will authorize Mayor Curtis Hardwick to enter into and file the CDBG application with the Kentucky Department of Local Government, and to additionally authorize him to review and sign any and all necessary documents that may be required for said application and project implementation. - Rhonda Loy, City Clerk, City of Columbia, KY
