He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and a mechanic. He was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, the son of the late Hubert Earl & Laura Jane England Jessie. His wife, Bernice Petty Jessie, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Bobby Jessie, 60, of Edmonton, KY, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at 12:23 A.M. at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Johnny Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow the service in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

Bobby Jessie, 60, Edmonton, KY (1956-2016)

He was born June 8, 1956, in Metcalfe County, KY. He was the son of the late Hubert Earl & Laura Jane England Jessie. He died Monday, October 24, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 60 years, four months, and 18 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Jane Goad & Shirley Diane Jessie.

He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and a mechanic.

Survivors include:

  • His wife: Bernice Petty Jessie of Edmonton

  • Two sons: Bobby Daniel (Nicole) Jessie of Columbia, KY; and Billy Glen (Brittany) Jessie of Knob Lick, KY

  • One daughter: Samantha Ann (Bobby Joe) Coffey of Edmonton,KY

    Two brothers: Earl Franklin Jessie & Jerry Lane Jessie both of Edmonton, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Delana, Deshea, Alissa, Lindsey, Morgan, Haylee, Spencer, Harley, Gracie, Parker & Axel

  • Several other relatives and friends
