LWC Men's Golf finishes 2nd at BTI Tourney

Chris Wells

Loudon, TN - Two Blue Raiders finished in the top five to help Lindsey Wilson men's golf to a runner-up finish at the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate today at Tennessee National Golf Club.

Federico Navarro and Ryan Nowe finished in ties for second and fifth respectively to help No. 23-ranked Lindsey Wilson post a two-day total 591 (295-296). No. 7 Dalton State (Ga.) captured the tournament with a team-total 584 (287-297).

Today's 296 was the lowest round of the day in the 15-team field.

Navarro -- who won last week at the Blue Raider Classic -- carded his second straight even-par 72 to finish the two-day tournament with a 144. He ended one stroke off the winning 143 (69-74) score turned in by SCAD-Atlanta's (Ga.) Nikolas Lurken.

Nowe ended two strokes off Navarro's pace with a 146 (74-72). He matched Navarro's even-par round today -- tied for the third best round of the day.

Rasmus Broholt Lind produced his second straight 74 on Tuesday to end in a 12th-place tie with a 148 while Alex Durham posted a 78 today and a 153 for the tournament to tie for 24th. Clayton Bradshaw tied for 44th in the 81-man field with a 158 (75-83).
