James (Andrew) Parnell Cowan, 22, Edmonton, KY (1994-2016)

He was a member at the House of Prayer in Edmonton, KY. Andrew gave his life to Jesus when he was nine years old after attending bible school with a friend. He recently rededicated his life to the Lord. Anyone who knew Andrew knows he loved his family above all else. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and child of God. He was the son of Terry and Tammy Arford of Edmonton, KY. His wife Jerrica Jolly Cown and dauaghter Emery Jean, survive. He leaves a host of relatives in Adair, Metcalfe, Russell & Barren Counties of South Central Kentucky.

James "Andrew" Parnell Cowan, 22, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 8, 2016.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at the House of Prayer church, 511 Randolph Road, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the church.



James (Andrew) Parnell Cowan, 22, Edmonton, KY (1994-2016)


He was born was born April 25, 1994 in Taylor County, KY. He died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the age of 22 years, five months, and 13 days.

Andrew was a member at the House of Prayer in Edmonton, KY. Andrew gave his life to Jesus when he was nine years old after attending bible school with a friend. He recently rededicated his life to the Lord. Anyone who knew Andrew knows he loved his family above all else. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and child of God.

Andrew was preceded in death by his great grandparents James Boston of Center, Leonard Cowan, Charles Garrison and Dimon (Annie) Parnell all of Columbia, KY. He was also preceded in death by one Uncle Jeremy Cowan of Columbia and his mother in law Kim Jolly of Edmonton.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife Jerrica Jolly Cowan and his daughter Emery Jean of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • His parents, Terry and Tammy Arford of Edmonton, KY

  • Two step-brothers: Terry Arford II (Grace) of Russell Springs, KY; and Michael Arford of Midland, MI

  • His grandparents: Jimmy (Rebecca) Parnell of Columbia, KY; and Todd (Rhonda) Reliford of Russell Springs, KY

  • His great grandmothers: Esther Sanders of Cave City, KY; and Marcine Garrison and Dorothy Cowan of Columbia, KY

  • His uncles: Landon (LeaAnn) Parnell, Luke (Angela) Parnell of Columbia, KY; Marvin (Monica Isbell) of Charlotte, TN; Adam Isbell of Hart County, KY; and Maxie Kirgan of Edmonton, KY

  • His nephews: Terry Arford III and Austin Arford of Campbellsville, KY

  • One niece Adrianne Arford of Campbellsville, KY

  • His father in law: Wes Jolly and sister in law Kiley Jolly

  • Other survivors include a host of other family and friends
