LWC Men's bowling finishes 13th at the Louisville Collegiate Classic

Louisville, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's bowling team competed at the Louisville Collegiate Classic on Saturday and the Thomas Burris Memorial Sunday.

On Saturday the Blue Raiders finished with a total of 6,893 pins for a 13th-place finish out of 16 teams.

Lindsey Wilson finished in 12th place out of 15 teams with a team score of 6468.


Andrew Dube finished with a five game score of 982 and a high of 210 in the third game. Derek Lyons bowled a team high 226 in his second game and had a five game total of 973.

John Loftus racked up 896 total pins and Matt Evans only bowling four games posted a score of 823 including a 225 in the third game.

Eli Kapres had a three game score of 588, Cody Miller posted a two game score of 363 and Tyler Goodman bowled one game for a 148.

Martin Methodist (Tenn.) won the team and the individual title. They had a team score of 7,883 and Lucas Hartigan led all individuals with a score of 1,203.

On Sunday the Blue Raiders took 12th out of 15 teams at the Thomas Burris Memorial.

Lyons had a five game score of 972, with a team high 248 in the fourth game for a 22nd place finish. Cody Miller finished in 34th place with a five game score of 907 and a high of 213 in the first game.

Dube finished with a four game score of 670 and Evans finished with a four game score of 668 pins.

Loftus had a three game score of 531, Tyler Goodman finished with a three game score of 462 and Kapres had a one game score of 147.

Lindenwood Belleville won the team competition with 7,620 total pins. Dennis Lane from Milligan College (Tenn.) was first in the individual standings finishing with 1,211 pins.

Lindsey Wilson men's bowling returns to competition at the Bulldog Classic at Eastland Lanes in Lexington, Ky. The two-day event begins on Oct. 29.
