LWC Women's Bowling finishes 11th at Thomas Burris Memorial By Matt Wurzburger The Lindsey Wilson women's bowling team competed twice over the weekend, claiming a 15th-place finish at the Louisville Collegiate Classic and finishing 11th at the Thomas Burris Memorial. The Blue Raiders opened the weekend with a 15th-place result at the Louisville Collegiate Classic on Oct. 1. Lindsey Wilson accrued 5,835 pins during team competition to place ahead of Spring Arbor (Mich.). Lindenwood Belleville (Ill.) edged Emmanuel (Ga.) by two pins to capture the team title. Jerrica Shannon was Lindsey Wilson's highest finisher in individual play. Shannon placed 31st with a five-game total of 880. Emmanuel's Destiny Harper won the individual competition with a total of 1,137 pins. Rebecca Himebaugh racked up 847 pins to finish 41st. Kelsey Grayson tied for 46th place with 837 pins. JaCinda Warner, Denise Franks, Kristina Waller and Taylor Warren rounded out the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson then posted an 11th-place finish at Sunday's Thomas Burris Memorial in Campbellsville, Kentucky with a cumulative score of 5,947. Fellow Mid-South Conference member Pikeville (Ky.) won the event with 7,549 pins. Shannon finished in a tie for 23rd place to lead the Blue Raiders. Shannon racked up 921 total pins across five games. Pikeville's Angel West won individual play with a score of 1,168. Himebaugh and Grayson placed back-to-back at 40th and 41st, respectively. Himebaugh posted a five-game score of 839 while Grayson accumulated 834 pins. Franks, Warner, Warren and Waller completed the Blue Raiders contingent at the Thomas Burris Memorial.
