Hall and Coffey sweep MSC Runner of the Week honors

Trajon Hall is the Mid-South Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and Nikki Coffey is the MSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

They become the first Blue Raiders to earn the weekly conference award this year. Hall earns his first career award while Coffey picks up the third of her career.


Hall placed 33rd overall at the Austin Peay State (Tenn.) Fall Invitational on Saturday. In the four-mile race, Hall posted a time of 23 minutes and 28 seconds. The Bowling Green, Ky., freshman was the top finisher for Lindsey Wilson in the 89-harrier field as the Blue Raiders finished in seventh place as a team. He was the second-highest overall NAIA finisher.

Coffey recorded a ninth-place finish in the field of 77 at the 5K women's race at the Austin Peay State Invite. The Danville, Ky., native finished in a time of 19 minutes and 26 seconds in the 5k race and was the highest NAIA finisher. The Blue Raiders finished in seventh place as a team.

Lindsey Wilson was one of two NAIA schools competing against mainly NCAA Division I institutions at the event.
