Frankie Gosa, 96, Adair County, KY (1920-2016)

She retired from Bremner Biscuit Company in Louisville, KY. She was the matriarch of a large, respected family. She was the daughter of the late George Anderson & Nell Birchie Beulah Lankford Shadrick. She leaves 25 direct living descendants.

Frankie Gosa, 96, of Columbia, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 1:36pmCT, at Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Gerald Reliford officiating. Burial will follow the service in Union Cemetery, 174 Milltown Church Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday.



Casket Bearers: Jerry Adamson, Bradley Adamson, Donnie Vermillion, Brian Harvey, Christian Sumner and David Wise.

She was born July 15, 1920, in Cardiff, Jefferson County, AL. She was the daughter of the late George Anderson & Nell Birchie Beulah Lankford Shadrick. She died Wednesday, Spetember 28, 2016, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 96 years, two months, and 13 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rhonda Gosa.

She retired from Bremner Biscuit Company in Louisville.

Survivors include:

  • Three daughters: Phyllis Keltner of Columbia, KY; and Sherry Gosa-Domeck & Judy Sumner-McCombs both of Louisville, KY.

  • Five grandchildren: Denise Adamson, Karen Keltner, Susan Wise, Donnie Ray Vermillion, Jr. & Christian M. Sumner

  • Twelve Great-Grandchildren

  • Five great-great-grandchildren
