LWC Football hosts Union on Homecoming Saturday Crowning of Homecoming King & Queen at halftime. Campus Kitchen will collect canned goods at the game Homecoming Football Game: Blue Raiders host Union (KY) at 6:30pmCT, Saturday, October 2, 2016, at Blue Raider Stadium, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY By Matt Wurzburger COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 26 Sep 2016) - The No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson football team hosts Union (KY) this Saturday as part of Lindsey Wilson Homecoming. The Blue Raiders (5-0, 1-0 Mid-South Conference West) defeated Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) 84-0 last week. Union (3-1, 2-0 MSC East) is coming off of a 49-45 victory over Cumberlands (KY) Homecoming festivities culminate at halftime with the crowning of King and Queen. Saturday's game also provides Blue Raider fans with an opportunity to help the Adair County and Columbia community. The Campus Kitchen at Lindsey Wilson College - which provides free meals to food insecure members of the community on a weekly basis - will collect canned goods as part of Hunger Action Month. Established by Feeding America in 2008, Hunger Action Month is a nationwide initiative designed to mobilize people to take action against hunger. The Campus Kitchen at Lindsey Wilson College is asking for any canned goods, especially vegetables and beans, to help with the Hunger Action Month. In addition to the canned goods collected, Lindsey Wilson athletics will donate a portion of the admission proceeds to The Campus Kitchen at Lindsey Wilson College.
