Godfrey Jackson elected CKMSAC Commissioner By Wes Feese Media Relations, Adair County Schools Adair County Asst. Athletic Director Godfrey Jackson was elected commissioner of the Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference (CKMSAC) earlier this month in a vote among the conference's other athletic directors. "I'm very excited and very humbled by this opportunity," Jackson says. "For my peers to think enough of me to nominate and elect me, it really makes you want to work hard to do a good job." Jackson says he's proud to take over a conference with such a rich tradition and history, but--always looking for ways to improve--hopes to see even more success in the coming months and years. "I think it's a good conference and it's been a good conference for a long time," Jackson says. "The goal now is to keep moving it forward. We want to be a great conference, the best in the state, and with our administrators and athletic directors, I think we can do that." Jackson will be in charge of all athletic events within the eight-team conference. The first order of business is amending and getting approval on a new set of bylaws for the conference, which he says is long overdue. "That's important because we have to make sure everyone is playing by the same set of rules," he says. "Everyone will have input on what they should be but then once they're set we have to make sure everyone follows them." The conference is comprised of Adair County, Campbellsville, Casey County, Green County, Hart County Metcalfe County, Russell County, and Taylor County. This story was posted on 2016-09-22 10:12:43
