Lynn Taylor Blakeman, 83, Green County, KY (1933-2016)

Mr. Blakeman had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church and also attended the Faith Christian Church. He was a retired Electrician and groundskeeper for the Green County Country Club. Mr. Blakeman was also a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Lynn Taylor Blakeman, 83, Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home.

The funeral services for Mr. Lynn Taylor Blakeman will be conducted at 10amCT, Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is requested from 5pm until 8pmCT, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Monday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Russ Robertson, Jaxon Robertson, Mike Blakeman, Butch Blakeman, James E. Shuffett, Henry W. Shuffett, Robert Glasscoe, Robert O. Blakeman, Richard Blakeman, and Mark Blakeman.

Honorary pallbearers: Phillip Robertson, Barney Shuffett, Arzo Miller, Jim Hill, Greg Coffey, Chunck White, Danny White, Eddie Ervin, Phillip Coffey, John Lipps, Junior Antle, and Bro. Gleason Bloyd.

Lynn Taylor Blakeman, 83, Green County, KY (1933-2016)


Mr. Lynn Taylor Blakeman of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Robert Elmer Blakeman and Elizabeth Henry "Sally" Durham Blakeman, was born on July 25, 1933 in Green County, and departed this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home. He was 83 years, one month, and 21 days of age.

Mr. Blakeman had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church and also attended the Faith Christian Church. He was a retired Electrician and groundskeeper for the Green County Country Club. Mr. Blakeman was also a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jewell C. "Judy" White Blakeman of Greensburg having united in marriage on March 15, 1957.

Other survivors include:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Janet Lynn Coffey, and Susan Taylor and Tim Judd all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law: Rhonda Carol and Russ Robertson, and Sarah Lane and Brad Davis all of Greensburg, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Jaxson, and Kathryn Robertson, and Marley and Raylen Davis all of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Anne and Ron Gaunce of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and two sisters-in-law: Dickie and Connie Blakeman and Pat Blakeman all of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Blakeman was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister: Robert "Bobby" Blakeman, Charles H. Blakeman, Joe Durham Blakeman, William "Billy" Blakeman, and Katherine Shuffett.
