By Charles Balcom News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson football team is ranked No. 7 in the first regular-season NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday afternoon. The Blue Raiders collected 254 total voting points as they moved up five spots from their No. 12 preseason ranking after starting the season 3-0. Lindsey Wilson already has a Mid-South Conference West Division victory on the year as the Blue Raiders topped Cumberland (TN) in the season opener. The Blue Raiders then took down Lyon (AR) before beating No. 18-ranked Georgetown (KY) to stay perfect on the year. Dylan Beasley tossed six touchdown passes and scored another on the ground to account for all seven scores in the Blue Raiders' 49-35 win over the Tigers on Saturday. Defending national champion Marian (IN) remains No. 1 in the poll with 340 voting points and all 15 first-place votes. Morningside (Iowa) is second with 325 points, followed by St. Francis (IN) (314 points) and Baker (KS) (303 points). Doane (NE) and fellow MSC West member Reinhardt (GA) are tied for No. 5 with 273 points. Faulkner is the final team from the MSC West to feature in the poll, coming in at No. 24.
