LWC Women's Golf in 6th place at SCAD Invitational

Covington, GA - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team carded a team-total 308 to sit in sixth place following the opening round of the SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) Fall Invitational held at The Oaks Golf Club.

Tara Rodenhurst and Dacie Bolton paced the Blue Raiders during the first round as the duo carded 5-over par 76s at the par-71, 5,802-yard course to sit in a tie for 17th place.

Shayna Cockrill and Courtney Vincent both notched 7-over par 78s during the round as they are currently tied for 28th.

Ashley Strong completes the Blue Raider squad in 37th place after a 12-over par 83.


Host SCAD Atlanta leads the field after a team-total 285. Dalton State (Ga.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) are tied for second with 291s, while Faulkner (Ala.) is fourth with a 294. Brenau (Ga.) sits four strokes ahead of Lindsey Wilson in fifth place with a 304.

Point (Ga.) is tied for sixth with the Blue Raiders after the Skyhawks also carded a 308.

Campbellsville's Cassidy Scantland and Point's Courtney Lowery are tied atop the individual leaderboard with 3-under par 68s.

The second and final round of the invitational begins at 7:15amCT, with the first Blue Raider teeing off at 8amCT at 11240 Brown Bridge Rd, Covington, GA 30014
