Link: http://www.lindseyathletics.com/article/8242.php Click on headline for complete story By Anthony Latessa COLUMBIA, KY - The second-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team hosts sixth-ranked William Carey (MS) on Monday night at 7pmCT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. This is the second-straight matchup against a team in the top-10 of the NAIA national poll for the Blue Raiders. In their last game on Friday night, the Blue Raiders (2-0) defeated Vanguard (CA) 2-1. Veronica Kurtz-Martinez scored the first Lindsey Wilson goal late in the first half with Carlletia Savizon picking up the assist. After Vanguard tied the game up in the 51st minute, the Blue Raiders responded with a goal by Annika Koemm in the 66th minute, her second game-winning goal of the season. The Crusaders (1-0) come into tonight's game after defeating Louisiana State University-Alexandria on Friday 2-0. William Carey outshot its opponent 18-6. Silvia Leonessi and Jamie Holifeld scored a goal each for the Crusaders. Last season, William Carey went 17-3-2 before losing to Spring Arbor (MI) 2-0 in the Quarterfinals of the NAIA National Tournament.
