Bonner Scholars present $750 check to Camp Casey Bonners have helped keep the program alive for many years Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Dana Harmon On Monday, August 22, 2016 the LWC Bonner Scholars presented a $750 check to 21st CCLC Director, Dana Harmon to use for improvements in Camp Casey at ACPC. The Bonner students grant these awards each year to their community partners. The Bonners have been partnering with Camp Casey since 2005. They serve thousands of hours each year in our school and in Camp Casey. In 2010 when our afterschool program did not win a 21st CCLC grant, the Bonners helped keep Camp Casey going by independently staffing the program. Every 21st CCLC grant application submitted to KDE since then, Lindsey Wilson College has been our co-applicant. On any given day in our school there are at least 20 different LWC students who dedicate at least 2 hours each of their time to helping us serve our students. We simply could not do everything that we do without them! This story was posted on 2016-08-23 14:55:53
