Margaret Louise Cary, 88, Cumberland Co., KY (1927-2016)

She was a 1948 graduate of Martha Norris Memorial High School in Marrowbone, KY, and a graduate of Bryant Stratton Business School in Louisville, KY. Louise was a former employee of Chrysler-Plymouth, was the former manager of Cumberland Valley Apartments, and had been a co-owner of Louise's Fashion Shop. She was a member of Burkesville Church of Christ.

Margaret Louise Cary age 88 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 12pmNoonCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 5pm until 8pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Margaret Louise Cary, 88, Cumberland Co., KY (1927-2016)


She was born on August 31, 1927 in Bloomington, Monroe County, IN. She was the daughter of the late Barton and Sallie (Cary) Cary. She died Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Louise was a 1948 graduate of Martha Norris Memorial High School in Marrowbone, KY, and a graduate of Bryant Stratton Business School in Louisville, KY. Louise was a former employee of Chrysler-Plymouth, was the former manager of Cumberland Valley Apartments, and had been a co-owner of Louise's Fashion Shop. She was a member of Burkesville Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Thomas, and one brother, Glen Cary.

Survivors include:
  • Four Nieces and Nephews: Dennis Cary Thomas of Bowling Green, KY; Linda Thomas of Lexington, KY; Kay Bill of London, KY; and James Barton Cary of Bayou Chicot, LA

  • Sister-in-law: Rebecca Cary of London, KY

  • Special friend: Wanda Spears of Burkesville, KY

  • Seven great nieces and nephews

  • Ten great great nieces and nephews

    and a host of other relatives and many friends
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the American Heart Association.
