CES preschoolers have great first week By Calen McKinney, Public Informaton Officer News from Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS) Campbellsville Elementary School's preschool students had a great first week of school. About 40 students began classes on Monday, August 15, 2015, with teachers Sherry Cowherd and Denise Spencer, and assistants Brittany Johnson and Beth Sandidge, respectively. Students spent their first week listening to stories, counting, writing their names, coloring, learning classroom procedures and schedules, playing with their new friends, singing songs and much more. The students also played on their very own playground, which was built as part of the school's renovation project. Enrollment in the CES preschool program is open ended. Students have to meet criteria for acceptance into the program, which is open to children ages 3 to kindergarten. For more information about the CES preschool program, call 270-465-4561.
