Six injured in collision at KY 704 and KY 55

All occupants were treated on the scene and transported to TJ Health/Columbia. Two were airlifted to UK Medical Center, Lextington for injuries sustained. ACSO Deputy Brandon Hitch is the investigating officer. He was assisted on the scene by Columbia Police Department and other emergency personnel.

Early morning, August 19, 2016 Adair County Sheriffs office responded to a two vehicle auto accident at the intersection of KY 55 South and KY 704.

Twenty-one year old Sierra Miller of Columbia was operating a 1996 Toyota Camry traveling north on KY 704/Fairplay Road and failed to stop at stop sign traveling onto Highway 55 South Road, striking another vehicle operated by 26 year old Jessica Murphy of Columbia, KY. Four other passengers were in the vehicle, Derrick, Kevin, Tyler,and Seth Murphy all of Columbia.

All subjects involved were treated on the scene by Adair County EMS and transported to TJ Hospital of Columbia.

Sierra Miller and K. Murphy were both air-lifted the University Of Kentucky Hospital for injuries sustained.

Deputy Hitch is the investigating Officer assisted on the scene by Columbia Police Department and other emergency personnel.
