He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a Lineman for the Phone Company and a lover of Animals and Plants. He was the son of Travis & Patsy Squires Keltner, who survive. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Joseph A. "Jody" Keltner departed this life Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home in Green County, KY.

There will be a memorial service 2pmCT, Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Summershade United Methodist Church, 499 Bramlett Kemp Road, Greensburg, KY in the Bramlett Community of Green County with Rev. William Davenport and Rev. Ronnie Dooley officiating. Burial will follow in the Summershade Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Adair County Honor Guard. There will be no visitation before the service.

Joseph A. "Jody" Keltner was born December 11, 1961 in Adair County, KY to Travis and Patsy Squires Keltner. He departed this life Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home in Green County, having attained the age of 54 years, eight months and six days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a Lineman for the Phone Company and a lover of Animals and Plants.

He is survived by:
  • One daughter: Shannon Keltner of Campbellsville, KY

  • Parents: Travis and Patsy Squires Keltner of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and sister-in-law: Doug and Gail Keltner of Greensburg, KY

  • Grandchildren: Anthony and Abigail Keltner

  • A nephew and his wife: Brian and Lora Keltner

  • Two great nephews: Austin and Cody Keltner.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Gideons for Bibles or to the Summershade Cemetery Fund.
