Nelson Man arrested on child porn charges By Tpr. Jeff Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY BARDSTOWN, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers along with Investigators from the KSP Electronic Crimes Branch arrested a Nelson County man on Child Pornography charges on Tuesday. On August 16, 2016, Joseph B. Smith (53) of Bardstown was arrested and charged with 20 counts of Possess/View Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance. He was lodged in the Nelson Co. Detention Center. The investigation is still ongoing by KSP Detective Tony Hardin. Anyone with any information in relation to this case is asked to call KSP Post 4 at 270-766-5078.
