COLUMBIA, KY (August 14, 2016) - Post 15 was called to the scene of a shooting at approximately 1:18aCT, at 60 Burnett Road in the limits of Columbia on Saturday morning, August 13, 2016



When investigators arrived, they found the owner of the residence, 22-year-old Christopher Janes, lying in the front yard of the residence with a gunshot wound to the head.

22-year-old Dustin Coomer, of Columbia, was found in an upstairs room of the residence with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The two men had been involved in an argument that led to Janes shooting Coomer before turning the gun on himself.

Both men were transported to TJ Health/Columbia hospital and then transferred by helicopter to University of Louisville hospital.

Coomer is listed in stable condition; Janes is listed in critical condition. Tpr. Nick Davis is investigating.
