William Earl Evans, age 76, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday August 11, 2016 at the U.K. Hospital, Lexington, KY.

Funeral services will be held 10amCT/11amET, Monday August 15, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Murphy Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday August 14th, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 7amCT/8amET, Monday August 15, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



William Earl Evans, 76, Casey Co., KY (1940-2016)


He was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on May 21, 1940. He was the son of the late Wilfred Ernest and Monta Propes Evans. He died Thursday, August 11, 2016, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 76 years, two months, and 21 days.

Earl was a former employee of Watson's Lumber Company and a carpenter.

Survivors include:
  • His spouse: Shirley Murphy Evans

  • One son: Brian Keith Evans of Liberty, KY

  • One grandson: Brian Alexander Evans of Liberty, KY

  • One sister: Jean Holt of Liberty, KY
Besides his parents Earl was also preceded in death by Five Brothers: Ralph, Roy, Mac, R.C. and Delmar Evans and Three Sisters: Ruth Tucker, Lillian Sutherland and Chloe King.
