Instructor will take applications at Expo for next GMAW class By Alan W. Reed, Supt., Adair Co. Schools Karl Watson, lead welding instructor at Somerset Community College, will be on hand at the Outdoor Expo, at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY, tomorrow 10am-2pmCT, to sign up adults for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) classes that will begin soon here in Columbia. Funding for classes and attire will once again be offered through the Lake Cumberland Area Technology Center. Classes will be taught in the Vo-Ag facility behind Adair County High School. Eligible students are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn a high demand skill and take classes right here at home. GMAW certified welders are in high demand and make very good salaries. Evening classes will once again be offered for adults in Adair and surrounding counties and there are a limited number of spots.
