Elizabeth Lewis Phillips Clark, Green Co., KY (1936-2016)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age, and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was Quality Control Inspector for Topps Safety Apparel for 18 years, and was the Green County Bookmobile Librarian for several years. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Leon "Lee" Phillips and Johnnie White Phillips. Her husband of 60 years, Hershel Clark, survives. She leaves 10 direct living descendants spanning four generations

Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis Phillips Clark of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, in Greensburg, KY

The funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis Phillips Clark will be conducted at 12pmNoonCT,, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Joseph Wilcoxson officiating. Visitation is requested after 9amCT, Saturday, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: John Robert Eastridge, Chris Moss, Phillip "Shorty" Keltner, Barry Marr, Larry P. Clark, and Doug Clark.

Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis Phillips Clark of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Oscar Leon "Lee" Phillips and Johnnie White Phillips, was born on December 15, 1936 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill. She was 79 years, seven months, and 19 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age, and was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was Quality Control Inspector for Topps Safety Apparel for 18 years, and was the Green County Bookmobile Librarian for several years.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Royce Herschel Clark of Greensburg having united in marriage on June 1, 1956.

Other survivors include:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Lisa Clark Eastridge and Bobby Eastridge of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Dr. Jay Eastridge and his wife Jessica of Campbellsville, KY; and Meridith Moore of Tennessee

  • Five great-grandchildren: Lauren Dunham, John Robert Eastridge, Kensington Moore, Chloe Eastridge, and Jace Moore

  • Two great-great-grandchildren: Easton Dunham, and Hudson Dunham

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by a sister: Lillian Clark; and a brother: Leon Phillips.
