Adair School District may know Fri, 29 Jul 2016 if ROTC coming Four year quest for ROTC appears likely to become a reality. Offering yet another career pathway for Adair County High School There's been four years of effort to get an ROTC program at Adair County High School, and now, CM has learned from a reliable source that the District could learn by as early as Friday, July 29, 2016, if an Air Guard ROTC program will be authorized at Adair County High, with some participation for students at Adair County Middle School. If the program is offered the District, the next step will be an Adair County High School Site Based Council meeting to consider requesting the creation of the position for the high school. Following that, the Adair County Board of Education would need to approve the position. Finally, a search for a qualified faculty member to head the program would undertaken. Our understanding is that all systems are go, and that the program has the wind at its back and is very likely to become a reality very shortly - no more than days - after the beginning of the fall 2016 semester. We're hoping for additional details shortly. - EW This story was posted on 2016-07-26 14:15:25
