Injury collision occurs at Green Hills Road & Liberty Road

2013 Nissan collides with 2002 Mitsubishi. One driver treated on the scene, taken to TJ of Columbia, then airlifted to UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY.

Columbia Police Department investigates injury collision resulting in one patient being flown by air ambulance to University of KY.

This morning on July 1, 2016, Columbia Police responded to a call from Adair County 911 of a two vehicle injury collision, at the intersection of Green Hills Road and KY 206.



Preliminary investigation indicates 64 year old Janet Jerue of Columbia was operating a 2013 Nissan when she attempted a left hand turn from Greenhills Road and pulled into the path of a 2002 Mitsubishi, operated by 32 year old Billy Smiley who was traveling east on KY 206.

Jerue was treated on scene by Adair County EMS and transported to TJ/Health of Columbia for additional treatment.

Jerue was then airlifted to University of KY Medical Center, Lexington, KY. CPD Sgt Gary Roy is investigating the collision and was assisted by Ofc. John Dial Josh Brockman
