Building burning after lightning strike By Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE & FM 99.9 the Big Dawg CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (23 Jun 2016) A blanket of dark grey smoke hung over downtown Campbellsville after lightening struck H & W Sports Shop and started a fire. Firefighters from Adair, Marion and Green County are assisting the Taylor County Fire Department in getting the blaze under control and manning the fire department in case any other fires happen in the night. In addition to causing the fire, tonight's lightening strike at H & W, knocked bricks off the top of Buddy and Roberta Moore's building next to H & W, on the Corner South Central and Main Street, bricks were thrown to the street. Lightening has been striking all evening. H & W Sports is the second strike within a month, after last month's strike at the Johnson home. This story was posted on 2016-06-23 20:41:14
