SCC Surgical Technology graduates have 100% pass rate Graduates from Adair, Casey, Laurel, Lincoln, Russell and Wayne Counties of Kentucky. The class participated in several community service events Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Allison Horseman News from Somerset Community College SOMERSET, KY (16 Jun 2016) - Graduates of the Somerset Community College Surgical Technology Program for 2016 have achieved a 100 percent first-attempt pass rate on the national certification examination, according to Surgical Technology program coordinator Tammy Watters. "This class has worked very hard throughout the year and I can't say enough about how happy and proud I am of them," said Watters. The class also participated in several community service events including a donation to the Bethany House, a donation to Gods Food Pantry and Roadside Pride Clean Up along Monticello Street. Graduate Tracy Denney of Yosemite also participated in an international mission trip to Guatemala with nursing instructor Valerie Allen and local surgeon Dr. Mark Henry of Somerset. 2016 Surgical Technology Program graduates are Tracy Denney, Yosemite; Jennifer Wiggins, Jamestown; Byron Gibson, Bear Branch; Parth Patel, Monticello; Jason Brock, Brodhead; Eric Overby, Columbia; Rebecca Yeager, London; Courtney Leverton, Monticello and Amanda Hacker, London. Program Faculty members include Program Coordinator Tammy Watters, Somerset and Rebecca Jones, Pine Knot. Chase Skaggs, Clinical Instructor.
