Mr. Wendell Cary, 81, Cumberland County, KY (1935-2016)

He was a member of the First Christian Church, a U. S. Army Veteran, and a business owner. He was the son of the late W. W. and Mollie (Philpot) Cary. His wife of over 56 years, Becky Cary, survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Mr. Wendell Cary, 81, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his residence in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 1pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Jeff Connar and Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT, on Thursday, June 16, 2016, until the funeral hour on Friday.



Mr. Wendell Cary, 81, Cumberland County, KY (1935-2016)


He was born on Wednesday, March 6, 1935. He was the the son of W. W. and Mollie (Philpot) Cary. He passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his residence in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, having attained the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, a U. S. Army Veteran, and a Business Owner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Greta Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Cary of Burkesville, Kentucky, whom he married on Saturday, August 8, 1959, and the following:
    His son and daughter-in-law: Tony and Faith Cary of Alvaton, Kentucky
  • His brother: Willie Joe Cary of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His grandsons: Bryant Cary and Miles Cary, both of Nashville, Tennessee

  • His nieces and nephews: Phillip (and Karen) Lee of Burkesville, Kentucky; Sonya (and Steve) Melton of Hazard, Kentucky; and Brent Cary of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
