Mrs. Iris Irene Estevez of Radcliff, 91, departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her home.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Iris Irene Estevez was held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Cremation rites were conducted after the service. The family receive dfriends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, from 9amCT/10amET, until time for the funeral.



Iris Irene Estevez, Radcliff, KY (1924-2016)

Mrs. Iris Irene Estevez of Radcliff was born on September 8, 1924 in the Dominican Republic to the late Simeon "Pasito" Estevez and Maria Engracia Rodriguez. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Estevez was 91 years and 9 months of age.

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She was a retired teacher and seamstress, an excellent cook, and loved to volunteer for her church and family.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Iris Lucia Nolasco and Edwin Santiago of Radcliff, KY

  • Three siblings: Maria "Cocola" Socorro Estevez of the Dominican Republic, Mimerva Rodriguez of New York, and Rafael Rodriguez, also of New York

  • Several grandchildren, including Laidy Abreu, Esteward Abreu, and Madelin Abreu

  • Two great-grandchildren: Elian Abreu and Adriana Abreu

  • Special friends: Ada, Prince, Polo, Emy, Becky, Tanya, Brenda, and Dan

  • And a host of other extended family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Silvia Abreu, one brother, Rafael "Cuyo" Estevez, and a nephew, Usbaldo "QuiQue" Estevez.
