She was a former employee of Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY. She was born in Casey County, KY and was a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Melvin & May Lee Wilson and the widow of Garnett "Red" Withers. She leaves 17 direct living descendants. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett "Red" Withers; a daughter, Norma Lee Popplewell; and a son, Berman Dale Withers. Survivors include the following:
