David Prow, Taylor Co., KY (1936-2016)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He retired as Regional Manager of Southern States after some forty years. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in agriculture. He served on the Board of Trustees at Taylor Regional Hospital for fourteen and one half years. His wife of over 59 years, Gayle Qualls Prow, survives. He leaves 26 direct living descendants.

David Prow, 80, of Campbellsville, KY died at 2amET, Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Campbellsville.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Neil Salvaterra. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



David Prow, Taylor Co., KY (1936-2016)

David Prow was the son of the late Clifton Prow and Nannie Lou McEuen Prow. He was born January 31, 1936 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. He died Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 80 years, three months, and 29 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He retired as Regional Manager of Southern States after some forty years. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in agriculture. He served on the Board of Trustees at Taylor Regional Hospital for fourteen and one half years.

He united in marriage to Gayle Qualls June 30, 1956.

Besides his wife, Gayle Prow of Campbellsville he is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Tommy Prow and wife, Sheila of Bowling Green, KY; Bruce Prow and wife, Leslie of Dallas, Texas; and Brian Prow and wife Donna, of Lewisville, NC

  • A daughter-in-law: Jill Blakeman of Campbellsville, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren: Paige Prow Hord and husband, Shaun of Campbellsville, KY; Mendi Prow and Heath Booten of Newport, KY; Tyler Prow and wife, Azar of Nashville, TN; James Prow and wife, Sandra; and Abby Prow of Bowling Green, KY; Taigan Prow and Zach Madden of Nashville, TN; Lake Prow of Murfreesboro, TN; Gabrielle Prow of Nolensville, TN; Blake Prow and wife, Ashley of Murfreesboro, TN; Cliff Prow and Tiffany Medders of Nashville, TN; Taylor Prow and wife, Stephanie of Clemmons, NC; Jordan Prow and Karli Prow of Lewisville, NC

  • Ten much loved great-grandchildren

  • Two brothers and four sisters: James Prow of Madisonville, KY; Nelda Carter and Sarah Vanygriff of Hanson, KY; Peggy Harmeson of Greenwood, IN; Jerry Prow of Louisville, KY; and Glenda Simmons of Madisonville, KY

  • A special friend: Sweet Pea

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Prow June 23, 1993 and a sister, Ruby Hall.
