Alex Durham earns NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete honors By Chris Wells, Lindsey Wilson Sports Information Director News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY – Lindsey Wilson senior Alex Durham has been named a 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, NAIA officials announced on Friday, 27 May 2016. Durham earns his second consecutive national academic honor. He is the sixth men’s golfer to earn the award in the program’s history. The Columbia, KY, native is one of 147 men’s golf student-athletes across the NAIA to earn the national honor. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
