Adair County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 24 May 2016

Indictments brought against 12 individuals from Columbia, Knifley, and Fort Campbell. Charges include theft by unlawful taking, various drug offenses, persistent felony offenses, custodial interference, DUI, flight, and failure to comply with sex offender registration.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 24 May, 2016:

  • Jason D. Stayton (09/19/1983), Sugar Hill, Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00046. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified). No Bond, Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Nathan J. Bradshaw (12/27/1987), Rice St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00047. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Failure to comply with sex offender registration. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail $1,000 cash. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Andrew R. White (09/15/1988), White Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00048. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Kendal Sanders (01/05/1995), Damion Creek Rd, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00049. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Jason B. Morgan (05/17/1990), Milltown Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00050. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Custodial interference. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Trent Pursiful (06/17/1995), A Bauer Dr., Fort Campbell, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00051. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Speeding. Count 2 - Reckless driving. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree. Bail $500 cash. Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Jonathan T. Hadley (02/07/1983), E. 80 Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00052. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Criminal abuse, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Ashley K. Corbin aka Ashley Harris (03/10/1990), Slick Rock West Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00053. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Criminal abuse, 2nd degree. Bail $5,000 cash. Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Jeremy Janes (04/25/1997), Creekbend Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00054. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 2nd degree. Bail $25,000 cash. Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Adrian E. Stotts (10/01/1981), Merchant St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00055. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others over $500 but under $10,000. Count 3 - Criminal mischief, 3rd degree. Bail $500 cash. Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Jeffery E. Wright (11/27/1973), Milltown Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00056. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, under $500 - shoplifting. Count 2 - Giving a peace officer a false name or address. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail $5,000 cash. Arraignment June 14, 2016, at 1pmCT.

  • Michael F. Harris (03/01/1993), Sims Lane, Knifley, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00057. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, 1st offense (aggravator). Count 2 - Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Leaving the scene of an accident. Count 5 - Criminal mischief, 3rd degree. Count 6 - Operating a motor vehicle while license revoked or suspended for driving under influence - aggravating circumstance. Arraignment June 28, 2016, at 1pmCT.
