Mrs. Phyllis Jean (Whitley) Fair, 62, was called to her eternal home on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her residence.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Fair on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10amCT/11amET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Troy Elmore will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET.

Mrs. Phyllis Jean (Whitley) Fair was born on August 6, 1953 in Taylor County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis W. and Elsie Rae (Tungate) Whitley. She died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the age of 62 years, nine months, and 13 days.

She was an employee of the Fruit of the Loom factory in Campbellsville until the time of its closing. Mrs. Fair professed faith in Christ and attended God's Grace Church. She found peace and joy in trying to live a Godly life, and used her life as her testimony.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Her husband of 41 years: Mr. Bradley Fair of Campbellsville, KY

  • A former daughter-in-law: Shannon Beach and husband Troy of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Brenda Emerson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Cody Cox, Kelly Wright and husband Michael, and Kelly Steele

  • Two great-grandchildren: Kaden Wright and Aubrey Wright

  • A special friend: June Hoskins

  • And a host of other family and friends
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Dean Cox.
