KSP reports details of semi collision at Wolf Creek Dam Driver has been treated and released from Russell County Hospital. Road has been reopened, after closure this afternoon. Officers say load shift, driver overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle. See next earlier update: Wolf Creek Dam roadway reopened after closure of one hour By Sr Ofc. Jason H. Morris U/4276, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Region 2 JAMESTOWN, KY - (Update 9:25pmCT, Fri 13 May 2016) - The Kentucky State Police Region 2 responded to a single vehicle injury collision this afternoon, at approximately 4:54pmCT, involving an overturned semi on US-127 at Wolf Creek Dam. According to Officers, 54-year-old Wendell Goff of McMinnville, TN was traveling south on US 127 near the Wolf Creek Dam. Goff was operating a 2000 International when the load he was hauling shifted as he was attempted to negotiate a curve causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Goff attempted to regain control of the vehicle and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn and closing US-127 for four hours. Goff was transported to the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. Goff was wearing his seat belt. Senior Officer Derek Cundiff is investigating and was assisted at the scene by Russell County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky Department of Transportation and Russell County EMS. - Jason H.
