Power line falls on satellite dish, starting fire in Taylor County

From Taylor County Volunteer Fire Department, Campbellsville, KY

Taylor County Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 704 Burdick School Road, Campbellsville, KY at around 11:16pmET. Upon arrival of firefighters, the fire was visible from the rear of the residence.



The fire started when a power line fell onto a satellite dish in the yard causing electrical current to travel through the TV cable going to the residence and then being conducted through the aluminum siding and a gas line igniting the structure.

The residence sustained moderate fire and water damage to the rear portion of the structure. No injuries were reported.
