Click on headline for complete obituary Wendy Harris Augustine passed away early Saturday, May 8, 2016 in an tragic drowning accident at Lake Cumberland, in Kentucky. Funeral service will be held 3pmCT, Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be at 1pmCT, Friday, May 13, 2016 until funeral time at 3pmCT. A Celebration of Wendy's Life immediately following at Lure Lodge, 5465 State Park Road, Jamestown, KY at Lake Cumberland State Park. Wendy Harris Augustine (Mon 27 Jan 1964 - Sun 8 Aug 2016) Wendy is survived by her loving husband of 24 years (John), daughter (Katie); and son (Andrew). Wendy was a focus of her parents' love, Bill and Geri Harris from Grand Junction, Colorado. She also leaves behind three brothers: Rick (Gwen) from Portland, Oregon; Pete (Holly) and John (Susan), with nieces Petra and Lydia, form Grand Junction, Colorado. Wendy's extended family includes Carole Augustine, Jim and Linda Augustine, Mary Ellen Augustine Gula, and numerous nephews, nieces and great-nieces as well as her beloved family on the 2-0-0 Row at State Dock on Lake Cumberland. Wendy's zest for life, positive attitude and bright smile touched the lives of countless people, including those involved in ice and roller hockey, the activities that her two children enjoyed since an early age. The world is going to miss Wendy Harris Augustine and would be a much happier place if everyone shared her character, laughter and love of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to: Team Wesley Dive Rescue at Lake Cumberland; or the Jamestown, KY, Fire Department Dive Rescue Team. Contributions can be made at any Fifth Third Bank location.
