Columbia Police arrest pair on alleged drug charges

Both individuals lodged in Adair County Regional Jail
Issuance of warrants and/or arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

On Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, at approximately 01:07amCT, Columbia Police Ofc. Josh Brockman and CPD Detective Brad Scholl initiated a traffic stop on a 2005 Dodge Caravan operating north on Burkesville Road around the LBN Parkway interchange.



The traffic stop was the result of an ongoing drug investigation by the department.

A quantity of prescription narcotics, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was seized during the stop.

Arrested were 44 year old female Barthelms Alaxander and 50 year old Alfred Wagner (AKA Big Al) of Columbia on charges of
  1. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree 1st offense
  2. Trafficking in Marijuana
  3. Illegal Possession of Legend Drugs
  4. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by CPD Ofc. Josh Brockman who was assisted by Det Brad Scholl, and Officers Charles Greer and Drew Conn. Columbia Police were also assisted by Russell County Sheriff Department Deputy Nick Bertram and his K-9.
