Norene Klein, 90, Knifley, KY (1926-2016)

She was a native of Oneida County, NY and a resident of Adair County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the matriarch of a very large, respected family. She was the daughter the late Eugene and Myrtle Coffey Rivers and the widow of Anthony Klein, Sr.

Norene Klein, 90, of Knifley, Kentucky, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor, Columbia, KY.

Cremation has been chosen and burial and services will be held later in Leonardsville, New York.

She was born Wednesday, February 17, 1926, in Utica, Oneida County, NY, to the late Eugene and Myrtle Coffey Rivers. She died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Knifley, Adair County, KY, at the age of 90 years, two months, and 16 days.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Anthony C. Klein, Sr., on April 17, 2009 and a daughter, Mary Rizzo.

Survivors include:
  • Three children: Eugene Klein of New Berlin, New York; Anthony Klein, Jr.; and Janice Newtown both of Knifley, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • An abundance of great-grandchildren

  • and one great-great grandchild
