LWC Outdoor Track & Field sits at No. 12 in USTFCCA By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field team slipped four spots in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2016 National Team Computer Rankings, the organization announced on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. The Blue Raiders are No. 12 in the rankings after receiving 163.80 total points. Lindsey Wilson slipped four spots from their No. 8 ranking in the previous poll. Scores in the National Team Computer Rankings were determined by the USTFCCCA computers using preseason event rankings that include the top marks of the recent NAIA outdoor track & field seasons by returning student-athletes and the top marks of the young 2016 campaign. The closer an athlete is to the top of his or her event rankings, the more points he or she earns toward the team total. Points from all applicable athletes are added up to determine team scores. Indiana Tech tops the rankings with 598.35 total team points, followed Concordia (NE) in second with 305.01 points and Wayland Baptist (TX) in third with 301.35 total ranking points. Lindsey Wilson is the lone institution from the Mid-South Conference to be featured in the national rankings. In the Great Lakes Region, the Blue Raiders held at No. 6 after recording 442.36 points.
