Bro. Timmy Ray Glass, 55, Monroe, KY (1960-2016)

He was current pastor and a member of Allen's Grove Baptist Church in Three Springs, KY. He was a native of Hart County, KY, and a resident of the County at the time of his death. He was the son of the late son of the late Lawrence Glass and Velma "Doby" Gunnells Glass. His wife of 38 years, Melondie Rock Glass, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Bro. Timmy Ray Glass, 55, of the Monroe Community of Hart County, departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Medical Center at Caverna, Horse Cave, KY. The funeral services for Bro. Timmy Ray Glass will be conducted at 2pmCT, Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1829 Center-Peggyville Road, Center, KY in Metcalfe County with burial to follow in the Whickerville Cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 12pmNoonCT until 8pmCT, Saturday at the Shady Grove Baptist Church and after 10amCT, Sunday, at the church until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Timmy Judd, Brandon Glass, Mark Glass, Matthew Glass, Bryant Boston, and Matthew Boston.

Bro. Timmy Ray Glass, Monroe, KY (1960-2016)

Bro. Timmy Ray Glass of the Monroe Community of Hart County, son of the late Lawrence Glass and Velma "Doby" Gunnells Glass, was born on July 1, 1960 in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Medical Center at Caverna. He was 55 years, 9 months, and 17 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ at the age of 16 and was called into the ministry in 1982. He was the current Pastor and member of the Allen's Grove Baptist Church in Three Springs.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melondie Rock Glass of Monroe having united in marriage on December 24, 1977.

Other survivors include:
  • Four sons and a daughter-in-law: Brandon Glass of Monroe, KY; Mark Glass, Matthew and McKayla Glass all of North Carolina; and Zachrey Denton of Monroe, KY

  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Lateshia and Bryant Boston of Glasgow, KY; and Brittany Donathan of Monroe, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Dakota Glass, Brayden Glass both of Monroe, KY; Ethan England, Jacob Brunson, Mallie Boston, Matthew Boston all of Glasgow, KY; and Micah Donathan of Monroe, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Melissa Glass of Campbellsville, KY; and Jeff and Carol Glass of Cave City, KY

  • Three sisters and a brother-in-law: Becky and Jerry Johnson, Lisa Bledsoe and Rockey, and Sandy Hagan all of Glasgow, KY

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bro. Glass was also preceded in death by a niece: Angela Bledsoe in 1981; and a brother-in-law: Gerald Hagan. Send condolences to the family of Bro. Timmy Ray Glass

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home or at the church.
